Local Plan documents

We have submitted the Chelmsford Local Plan to the Secretary of State, for Independent Examination. We submitted the Local Plan and the accompanying documents on 5 June 2026.

The key information is set out in Statement of Fact, and in the sections below.

We have developed a range of new and updated evidence to support the Local Plan review.

We have acknowledged receipt of all ‘duly made’ representations to the consultations, and we have recorded and published all comments on the Consultation Portal.

We have submitted all the comments to the Regulation 19 consultations to the Inspector. This includes the comments from the Pre-Submission consultation in February/March 2025, and the Additional Sites consultation November 2025/January 2026.
