We are going to be redecorating the pool and installing new boilers at SWFLC, meaning the pool will be closed and showers will be unavailable for a time. Facilities at SWFLC
South Woodham Ferrer’s superb facilities include a 25m swimming pool with boom and moveable floor, a gym, sports hall and a floodlit outdoor 3G football pitch.

Pool
South Woodham has a 25m, six lane main pool with boom and moveable floor, allowing for changeable depth and mixed usage. Our changing facilities are family friendly and fully accessible, including a Changing Places unit, with a height adjustable changing bench and hoist, as well as a pool hoist.
Changing facilities
We have extensive wet and dry changing facilities.
Our spacious changing rooms are located on the ground floor, with individual cubicles, hairdryers and as well as group changing units, and are fully accessible. They include a Changing Places unit and family changing facilities with showers and toilets.
Gym and Studios
The gym is equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment that is accessible to all. To complement our great gym facilities, we also offer a fantastic range of fitness classes for all abilities.
Sports hall
South Woodham has a large sports hall that is capable of mixed simultaneous use.
It hosts a wide range of activities including badminton and table tennis.
The sports hall facilities also enable other sports to be played including 5-a-side football and netball as well as badminton up to county level. It can also accommodate conferences, exhibitions and craft fairs. These are available for hire on a casual and block booking basis.
3G floodlit outdoor pitch, multi-use games area (MUGA) and tennis courts
We have a floodlit 3G Astro turf pitch, a multi-use games area (MUGA) with two five-a-side courts, and four outdoor tennis courts. All are available for hire by teams and clubs.
Accessibility
South Woodham is fully accessible with ground floor access throughout the centre.
We have accessible wet change and a Changing Places unit located on poolside, which is fully equipped a height adjustable changing bench and hoist.
There is also a pool hoist to assist with the safe entrance and exiting of both pools. You can find detailed information about accessibility and accessible sessions at the centre.
