Gym at SWFLC
Come to our gym at SWFLC and use a range of equipment with the support of our friendly and qualified gym instructors.
No matter what your exercise goals are, our 30 station gym has everything you need.
If you want some one-to-one help in the gym, you can also book personal training sessions.
You can also find out about our GP referral scheme.
Our gym is open to those aged 16 and over, or 14 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children aged 10 to 15 can also use our Junior Gym sessions.
Clothing
You must wear appropriate clothing in the gym. We will refuse you entry if you are wearing items such as jeans, Crocs or workwear.

Before you use our gym, you will have an induction with one of our gym instructors so that we can help you achieve your fitness goals.
During the induction you will discuss your goals, learn how to use the equipment safely and effectively, and get a personalised exercise programme.
Our instructors are on hand to answer any questions, or update your programme. They are available from 5pm to 10pm, Monday to Thursday.

Price
If you are a monthly member, you can book a welcome induction for £13.50, or you can book a quick induction for free.
If you are a pay as you go customer, you can book a welcome induction for £27 or a quick induction for £13.50.
- Once you have had your induction, you do not need to book in advance to attend the gym.
- You can get your ticket at reception on your arrival.
At SWFLC you do not need to use a Technogym key. If you want to use the gym at Riverside or CSAC, you will be required to buy a key which allows you to use the equipment with your programme. This costs £12.50.
- If you want to use a locker, you will need to use a £1 token, which you can buy from reception.
- There is a male group changing area and a female group changing area.
- Accessible changing is available on poolside at all times, or near to the gym after 6pm.
This is a woman-only gym-based fitness session at South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre, as part of our Women Time programme.
