Bidding on properties
You can start bidding on properties when you have joined the Housing Register, and we have:
- told you that you are eligible and qualify to join the Housing Register
- told you your band
- told you the type of property you can bid on
- given you your HomeOption Identification Number (HOIN)
If we are reassessing your housing need because you have reported a change in circumstance, you will not be able to log in to HomeOption.
Look at available properties The first stage in the bidding process is to view new properties, which housing associations add to HomeOption every Friday.
Make a bid on a property If you find a property on HomeOption that meets your needs, you need to bid on it to register your interest.
What happens if we accept your bid When bidding has closed, we assess all bids and nominate the successful applicant to the housing association.
