We will carry out further checks of your domestic driving licence and your application. We will check them against a National Register of Hackney and Private Hire Vehicles Revocations and Refusals (NR3).

This is to check you are a 'fit and proper' person to hold a taxi licence.
We advise you to complete the training course before carrying out the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or completing the medical examination form.

DBS update service
You must also sign up for the DBS update service within 28 days of receiving your DBS certificate. You will need an email address to sign up.

You must make sure to maintain your subscription to this service, including paying any ongoing costs. If you don't, this will mean you will have a DBS check every six months at cost.
