CSAW Play in the Park hero

Play in the Park runs at multiple community venues during the Easter and summer school holidays, for children aged between three and 11.

Children can join our Playworkers to play, create and take part in fun sports, games and craft activities at a park near you. Some sessions also feature additional activities such as inflatables, reptile handling and scooter lessons.

Sessions are suitable for everyone, including those with accessible needs. Please call our team on 01245 606569 if you need any further information. A parent or carer may be required to stay during the session.

Please make sure you child has suitable clothing for playing games, a drink and a snack, and is prepared for any weather.

Play in the Park has finished for 2021. We will announce dates for the Easter and summer holidays next year.

Play in the Park is free of charge.

How to register

There have been a few changes to how you register and attend the sessions.

  • To guarantee your space, you must book your free tickets in advance
  • If you arrive at a Play in the Park session without a booking, you may get turned away if there are no spaces available.
  • There will be a maximum of 150 children in each session. This is to ensure strict social distancing measures can be maintained where applicable.
  • Spaces for each session are on a first-come-first-served basis.

If your child is:

  • under six, they must be supervised by an adult parent or guardian for the whole session. One adult can supervise a maximum of three children per session.
  • under eight, they must be dropped off and picked up by an adult. The adult will need to set up a password with us on arrival and provide the same password when collecting the child.
  • over eight, they can come and go without an adult, but they must provide any relevant medical information and emergency contact details when they register.

Essential information

  • You will need to maintain a safe distance at all times in line with government guidance.
