Boiler Upgrade Scheme

GOV.UK is providing funding for upgrading your boiler.

You could get a grant to cover part of the cost of replacing fossil fuel systems with a heat pump or biomass boiler.

Great British Insulation Scheme

This grant scheme is for owner-occupiers, private tenants and landlords.

This scheme will install single measure insulation to improve energy efficiency of your home.

Essex Energy Switch

The Essex Energy Switch is a group buying scheme for gas and electricity.

It is a collaborative approach to search for cheaper, greener deals on their energy bills. Buying as a group reduces the prices. An auction takes place where energy suppliers offer bids to residents promoting their lowest tariffs.

All energy suppliers must offer 100% renewable energy as part of their tariffs. If the tariff isn’t beneficial, as a resident, there is no obligation to accept or pursue with the tariff.
