The government recently brought in new rules about what councils have to collect and recycle. This is to help standardise collections across England. However, our current recycling scheme is already compliant with rules, meaning we have not had to make any changes.
Incontinence waste collections
We provide a free incontinence waste collection service for residential properties in the Chelmsford area.
We provide a yellow-topped bin for incontinence waste, such as incontinence pads.
Nappies are not incontinence waste and you can dispose of nappies in your black non-recyclables bin. You can check what goes in which bin.
If you need to dispose of clinical waste, you can request a clinical waste collection.
If you already receive an assisted collection, you will automatically receive an assisted collection for the incontinence waste.
If we have missed your collection, you can report a missed collection online.
