Our gymnastics school offers everything your child needs to learn how to tumble through the air with ease. Sessions are led by fully qualified coaches, and children have use of a full-sized beam, A-bars, floor area and vault.

Our school is suitable for children of any age or ability. 

Parent and toddler gymnastics

A play session for toddlers, where they can have a go on a bouncy castle and use basic gymnastics equipment in a safe and fun environment adapted to a walk-around assault course.

These sessions run on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 10.20am and are suitable for children aged from 0 to 3.

Tots gymnastics 

Under-fives can have their first try at gymnastics with our professional equipment in a safe environment. Our qualified coach will offer gentle guidance.

These sessions run on Tuesdays from 10.30am to 1.20am and are suitable for children aged from 3 to 5.

Prices and booking

Both sessions cost £6 per child. You can book online, book via the app, or call the centre on 01245 605666.

Gymnastics at Dovedale Sports Centre is provided by EA Gymnastics.

These classes suit children in Reception to Year 8, after which there is an Advanced Gymnastics class.

Reception to Year 4 (50 minutes long)

  • Thursday, 5pm and 6pm
  • Friday, 5pm and 6pm
  • Saturday, 11.30am and 12.30pm and 1.30pm

Years 5 to 8 (50 minutes long)

  • Thursday, 7pm
  • Friday, 7pm

Advanced (2 hours long)

  • Saturday, 2.30pm

  • Please ensure children bring a drink to their lesson.
  • Please ensure your child wears appropriate clothing, including leggings, shorts, t-shirts or leotards, and has bare feet. 
  • Ensure long hair is tied back and children do not wear any jewellery.
  • If your child needs any additional support, please just let us know.
