Request a payment arrangement for your Council Tax

If your income has been affected by coronavirus and you need help with your rent or paying your Council Tax, we want to provide you with some information to help you at this difficult and uncertain time. How to pay your Council Tax

You can pay your Council Tax online.

You can spread your payments over 10 or 12 months.

You can also pay by Direct Debit. If you pay by Direct Debit, you must pay on either the:

  • 1st
  • 8th
  • 15th
  • 25th

Request a payment arrangement

You can request a payment arrangement for your Council Tax if:

  • you can’t pay your Council Tax monthly
  • you can’t pay your Council Tax on either the 1st, 8th, 15th or 25th
  • you have missed some of your Council Tax payments and can’t bring your account up to date

To request a payment arrangement, you will need:

You must pay this year’s Council Tax bill by 31 March 2021.

When we receive your request

When we receive your request, we will send you a letter to confirm we have approved your  arrangement.

If we are unable to approve your payment arrangement request, we will contact you by phone or email.
