Planned maintenance

We are carrying out maintenance work on our online system for Council Tax, Benefits and Business Rates.

This maintenance will take place from Monday 20 April at 8:30am to Tuesday 21 April at 5:30pm. This maintenance may prevent you from accessing your account.

Register for a Council Tax account If you have moved into the area from elsewhere or bought or rented your first home, you will need to set up a new Council Tax account with us.

Tell us if you have moved If you have moved within or out of Chelmsford, you need to tell us you have moved so we can update your Council Tax account.

Close your Council Tax account If you are moving out of Chelmsford, you need to tell us so we can close your account.
