Second Adult Rebate

If you are of state pension age, you may be eligible for a Second Adult Rebate, to help reduce your Council Tax bill. It may apply if your income or capital is too high for you to claim Council Tax Reduction.

You can apply for a Second Adult Rebate if:

you are of state pension age
you can't claim a single person discount as a low income non-dependent lives with you

To apply for a Second Adult Rebate, you will need:

your Council Tax account number
your name, address and contact details
to provide evidence of the non-dependent's income
