‘Simpler Recycling’ rules

The government recently brought in new rules about what councils have to collect and recycle. This is to help standardise collections across England. However, our current recycling scheme is already compliant with rules, meaning we have not had to make any changes.

We are piloting a scheme which allows flats in Chelmsford to order a new food caddy container.

Once your caddy arrives, line it with a food waste bag and fill with unwanted food scraps, bones and peelings. Once it is full, place the food waste bag in the communal food waste bin in your flats block bin store.
