Dovedale refurbishment 2025
Exciting news - we’re making improvements to your leisure centre.
As we announced in mid-March, we are planning a major refurbishment project at Dovedale Sports Centre.
These improvements will provide better facilities for everyone and will include:
- an expanded and remodelled gym
- an additional studio
- new changing rooms
- a modernised and extended reception area
- new, more energy efficient water and heating systems
To make these exciting changes, we’ll need to close the centre during the works.
Timescale
The last day of opening will be Thursday 12 June 2025, meaning the centre will be closed from Friday 13 June. We expect the centre to reopen in the early 2026.

We have already been working hard with all of our clubs to help relocate during the closure period. You can contact your club directly to find out more.
