Bell Meadow walk
This gentle, 1.5 mile, 30 to 35 minute walk follows the paved paths alongside the river through the beautiful Bell Meadow. This walk is in association with Support 4 Sight and is suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.

This circular route is perfect for beginners, usually taking just 30 minutes. It offers good views of Central Park, one of the oldest public parks in Chelmsford, as well as Marconi Ponds.
It runs on paved paths through the park and is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Please note that, for each walk, a specific route has been agreed and risk assessed to provide the safest walking environment possible. This cannot be changed.

Essential information
- Make sure you wear comfortable, sensible shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather. Please make sure you bring sun lotion and water in the summer.
- Unfortunately, we cannot allow any dogs other than assistance animals.
Walk address and meeting point
This walk meets at the entrance to Bell Meadow Park, opposite The Ivory Peg Weatherspoons pub, and the back entrance to Marks and Spencers (CM2 0PA).
How to get there
By bus
Get off at the Tindall Street bus stops at the back of the shops, or the New London road stop Dd by the Job Centre.
Cycle
Well-marked cycle routes go to this route from across the city.
By car
Parking is available at the market multi-storey, Meadows car park, Coval Lane, Meteor Way and Fairfield Road car parks. Accessible parking is available in Bell Meadow.
