
Forever Active
As we get older keeping active can be even more important. Forever Active offers a range of activities, sports, and classes, all designed for over fifties to improve mobility, strength, and confidence.
From seated exercise classes to cricket, guided meditation to dance, there is something for everyone! Many activities take place in local village halls and parish buildings, so you should be able to find something near you.

Activities
You can browse our directory to see what's on offer, with sessions suitable even if you have little or no experience.
We only include approved instructors, and they are always keen to welcome new faces. Activities are sociable, friendly and informal with no pressure.
If you would like to join a class, you can contact the class instructor in the first instance.
If you are a little nervous or unsure of what to expect, the Forever Active Team can offer a buddy system. We will arrange a volunteer to meet and greet you at a class for the first time to help ease you in gently. You can contact us online or call 01245 606569 (option 4).

If you are a local club, organisation or class instructor, you can contact the Community Sport and Wellbeing Team. We can list you in our directory and also arrange for you to appear in the Active Essex activity finder too.
