Three people wearing different types of ice skate

Whether you're a complete beginner and would like to learn the basics, or whether you're trying to perfect your technique, our adults-only skating lessons will suit you.

Our lessons follow the British Ice Skating (formerly NISA) approved Skate UK programme.

Lessons will run every week for 30 minutes per lesson in the Riverside ice rink. You'll be in a small, friendly class of people with a similar ability, aged 16 and over. Our expert teachers will guide you through your lessons, while you make new friends in a community environment.

Our lessons run continually throughout the year and when you apply, you'll be able to enjoy a host of amazing benefits, including:

  • free ice skating during any public and holiday skate sessions
  • free skate hire and skate gloves
  • quick, easy direct debit payments spread the cost of payments across the year.
  • the option to move up at your own pace rather than having to wait until the end of a term.
  • regular online feedback with our Course Pro home portal. Log in any time to view weekly progress and achievements.

During the school holidays we also offer a week-long intensive aimed at beginners. You will come everyday for the week and learn the basics.

We hold lessons every Wednesday night, from 7pm to 7.30pm

The cost is just £42.70 per month Direct Debit, for weekly lessons.

All our ice skating places are full and we are currently not accepting new applications. We hope to reopen our waiting list in February 2025.
