Getting to the Cemetery and Crematorium

If you are attending a funeral you must wear a face covering, unless you are exempt. This will be mandatory from Saturday 8 August. You can visit the Cemetery from 10am to 4pm every day. You can visit the Memorial Chapel to see the Book of Remembrance only. The Bereavement services office and toilets remain closed. You can read more on our coronavirus guidance page.

By car

We have 96 car parking spaces at our Cemetery and Crematorium, spread across two car parks. This includes four disabled spaces per car park. The car park is only to be used during the time of the service.

If you are using a Sat Nav, you need to use CM1 3WQ, rather than the postcode for our postal address.

By bus

The number 351 bus from the Chelmsford Bus Station stops at our Cemetery and Crematorium.

You can see the route and bus times on First Bus.

Waiting room

We have a small waiting room in the main office, for those who arrive early.

We have public toilets at the rear of the South Chapel. They include female and male facilities, as well as an accessible toilet with baby changing.

We also have female, male and accessible toilets in the North Chapel, which are available to people attending a service there. They do not include baby changing.
