Family entertainment centre gaming machine permits
Eligible premises
Family Entertainment Centre Gaming Machine Permits are limited to premises that are wholly or mainly used for gaming machines. This includes small arcades in holiday parks, theme parks and seaside resorts.
We can only issue permits to stationary premises, not vehicles.
Category D machines
A Category D machine is the lowest category of gaming machines available, and the only type that children and young people are allowed to play.
Family entertainment centres that do not hold a gambling premises licence can only offer Category D machines under this permit.
There is no limit to the number of Category D machines a premises with a family entertainment centre gaming machine permit can have.
Category C machines
A Category C machine is the next category up of gaming machines available, and can only be played by people over the age of 18.
