Members of religious communities

We will disregard you if you are a member of a religious community. This is a person whose main occupation is:

• prayer
• contemplation
• education
• the relief of suffering

You must also have:

• no income other than a pension from previous employment
• no capital of your own
• dependence upon the community for your material needs

To apply as a disregarded person, you must contact us to tell us about your circumstances. This must include evidence that shows that you meet these requirements.
