We will disregard you if you are a member of a visiting force from one of the countries the Visiting Forces Act 1952 applies to.

Your dependants will then also be a disregarded person if they are not British citizens and are not a UK resident.

You will need to provide:

  • evidence of your membership of the visiting force
  • the period of membership
  • evidence of nationality for any dependants

To apply as a disregarded person, you must contact us to tell us about your circumstances.
