Chelmsford High Street regularly plays host to an exciting array of food markets.

Continental Market

There's no better way for people to discover Europe and enjoy its diversity than through the variety of its products, traditional cooking, music and clothes and these can be found at the Continental Markets in Chelmsford High Street.

Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 March 2010

Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 June 2010 in conjunction with the Chelmsford Town Twinning Anniversary

Saturday 11, Sunday 12 & Monday 13 December 2010

Why not treat yourself to an array of items at the Continental Market including French perfume, Italian cashmere, jewellery and chocolate and other delicacies including Brittany biscuits, olives, a fresh bakery and dried sausages and wine.

The Continental Market compliments the huge range of shops, boutiques and outlets around Chelmsford, and with ample parking around the town centre and excellent public transport links, exploring Chelmsford's shopping experience has never been easier.


Gourmet Food Fair

Chelmsford has played host to the Gourmet Food Fair since 2005 and has gone on to be a very popular fixture in the town centre calendar.


Every Friday, shoppers are treated to a veritable smorgasbord of international treats. Foodies can enjoy a range of fresh produce including breads, pastries, olives, fruit, and hand-made sausages. There is always something for everyone, with dozens of stalls taking part.

"Fab idea really good to try different things and the stall holders really friendly makes shopping a lot more fun."

High Street Market

The lively High Street Market every Saturday in Chelmsford High Street provides shoppers with a chance to buy various and diverse items that you cannot find in High Street shops.


Farmers Market cancelled

There will no longer be a Farmers' Market on the first Sunday of the month in Chelmsford High Street.  Shoppers can buy fresh produce from the Gourmet Food Fair every Friday and Saturday in the High Street.
