Make a request

You can request information from us under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI). You can also request specific information about the environment from us under the Environmental Information Regulations (EIR).

Before you make an FOI or EIR request, you can check that we haven’t already published the information you are looking for.

You can find information across our website, or use our Publication Scheme to check what information we publish, where we publish it and how often. We also publish information for transparency under the Transparency Code.

If you are unsatisfied with our response to your request, you can ask for an internal review.

You can find out more about FOI from the Information Commissioner.

We can provide most information free of charge. However, in some cases we will charge you if we estimate that it will cost us more than £450 to process your request. If we do need to charge you, we will contact you before providing the information, and you can decide if you want to:
