Opening Hours: Our usual opening hours are Monday - Thursday, 8.45am to 4.45pm and Friday, 8.45am - 4.15pm. Please note, the Council opens an hour later on the last Wednesday of most months - see our Late Opening  page for more information.

Please note that, due to the nature of the access to some of the building, we would request that visitors that use a wheelchair arrive 15 minutes before an appointment to allow sufficient time to reach their meeting.

Please note that all matters relating to roads and highways, including road and footpath maintenance, road safety, street lighting, traffic lights and traffic management, are the responsibility of Essex County Council.  Therefore, any such enquiries should be directed to highways.midarea@essex.gov.uk.
