The Mayor of Chelmsford invites you to join her for the city’s annual Civic Carol Service at Chelmsford Cathedral, on Friday 13 December from 7pm, in support of Farleigh Hospice. Spaces are free but will be limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
Inviting the Mayor to an event
The Mayor welcomes invitations to attend events held by organisations in the City. However, due to demand, it may not be possible to attend every event to which the Mayor is invited. If the Mayor is unable to attend a function the current Deputy Mayor may attend where possible and should be accorded the same protocol as for the Mayor.
The Mayor can attend:
- awareness raising promotions
- fundraising events
- Annual General Meetings
- festivals
- award presentations
- religious services
- opening presentations for new or refurbished facilities
- launch events for new services or businesses
The Mayor cannot attend political events.
Inviting the Mayor to an engagement
You can invite the Mayor to attend an engagement by completing our form.
After you submit your request
When you submit the form, you will receive an automated email confirming the details you have submitted.
We will discuss your request at our next diary meeting and you will receive a separate email to confirm if the Mayor is available to attend. You will then need to provide us with further details of your event.
Timescales
We normally ask for at least two weeks’ notice before your engagement. If it is less than two weeks, you will need to contact the Mayors Office by emailing mayors.office@chelmsford.gov.uk or calling 01245 606269
