Royal Mail delays

Our addressing team work closely with Royal Mail, who are currently experiencing delays. They are taking up to six weeks to add addresses on to Postcode Address File (PAF) instead of the usual four working days. This is also having a knock-on effect on how quickly they respond to our requests, and is not something we can control. We apologise for any inconvenience.

As your property already a postal number, that number is your official address. This means you must display this number at all times, to ensure that you can be found easily, particularly in an emergency.

If a name has been given to a property together with its official number, the number must always be included. The name cannot be regarded as an alternative. If you do not continue to use the number, you may be subject to enforcement action.
