Our addressing team work closely with Royal Mail, who are currently experiencing delays due to a recent system update. They are currently taking up to five weeks to add addresses on to Postcode Address File (PAF) instead of the usual four working days. This is also having a knock-on effect on how quickly they respond to our requests, and is not something we can control. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Street naming and numbering
We have a responsibility to name streets, number properties and manage property address changes. We carry out this statutory function under Sections 17, 18 and 19 of the Public Health Act of 1925.
