Hylands Parking Saver
These instructions show you how to register in MiPermit and activate your Hylands Parking Saver. You can use this to buy discounted cashless parking and season tickets.
- Go to www.wanttopark.com/southessex
- If you are a Chelmsford resident and already have a MiPermit account, you can sign in using your username and password
- Select 'Digital Permits'
- Select 'Chelmsford City Council'
- Select 'Hylands Parking Saver'
- Read through the following information about the Hylands Parking Saver to make sure you understand it
- Select 'Continue'
- Enter your Council Tax account number. This is an eight-digit reference beginning with an 8
- Enter your house number and postcode and select 'Search' to find your address
- Select your address from the dropdown menu and select 'Next Step'
- If you already have a resident permit or visitor tickets, you do not need to complete this step
- Enter your first name, last name and either an email address or a mobile number. The email address/mobile number will be used as your user name
- Enter a memorable password and then enter it again to confirm it
- Check your address is correct and select 'Register'
- The final page will activate your Hylands Parking Saver; it will auto-renew every year
- If you receive Council Tax support in Chelmsford, you may be entitled to free parking (this only applies to daily fees, not season tickets). You need to contact us by completing an application form to ask about this concession
- Make sure all the final details are correct and select 'Finish'
- You will now have access to discounted cashless parking and season tickets
- Once you have activated your Hylands Parking Saver, you can now register for cashless parking
- Go to www.wanttopark.com/southessex
- Select 'Register for Cashless Parking'
- Enter your mobile number if you have one, your vehicle registration number and your credit/debit card details to store them for future use
- Select 'Register'
- This will enable you to create cashless parking stays at discounted rates
- If you already have a cashless parking account, you do not need to complete this step
- Once you have activated your Hylands Parking Saver, you can now buy discounted season tickets
- Go to www.wanttopark.com/southessex
- Select 'Digital Permits'
- Select 'Chelmsford City Council'
- Select 'Hylands Season Tickets (Chelmsford Residents)'
- This will enable you to buy season tickets for multiple vehicles at discounted rates
