Bring your favourite toys to meet some of the toys in the museum and discover the secrets and stories they hold. Hear about the adventures of our oldest teddy and Betty the rag doll, discover how the orange picker moves without batteries and see if you can help Wimp the butterfly fly!
In this session children will:
- meet old toys that live in the museum and find out how they work
- play with lots of real and replica old toys
- make their own ‘Wimp’ peg butterfly and spinning top to take home
- explore the museum with our interactive ‘nursery rhyme’ trail
Stay for longer
Let off steam in the Under 5’s play area and explore Oaklands Park with our free Park trail.
Capacity
Maximum 20 children per session.
Facilities
We have an indoor lunch space available, plus picnic benches and children’s play area in the park. The museum is fully accessible with a lift and accessible toilet.
