Chelmsford Museums - open

Chelmsford Museum is open

Chelmsford Museum has reopened, an we look forward to seeing you again.

The museum at Oaklands Park had a complete makeover in 2019 and it’s home to beautifully curated collections about the city’s story and the Essex Regiment Museum.

You won’t be too surprised to hear that things will be a little different at first. Since stage 3 only marks the next phase of the roadmap rather than a complete lifting of Covid-19 measures, some restrictions will be in place.

You can find out about all the changes, including booking tickets

Chelmsford Museum
Chelmsford Museum and Essex Regiment Museum sit at the heart of the city's beautiful Oaklands Park. Our inspiring Science and Education Centre is based at Sandford Mill. You can find our opening times, where we are and how to get to us.
