Chelmsford Museum and Essex Regiment Museum sit at the heart of the city's beautiful Oaklands Park. Our inspiring Science and Education Centre is based at Sandford Mill. You can find our opening times, find out where we are and how to get to us.

We offer a wide range of hands on, enquiry-led learning sessions. Our expert tutors have extensive experience in delivering educational sessions that cover the National Curriculum.

Immerse yourself in the history and culture of Chelmsford and the surrounding area with our permanent exhibitions. Our temporary exhibitions change throughout the year. Entry to our exhibitions is free.
