We have established an Emergency Business Recovery Grant Scheme to provide immediate support to businesses directly affected by the incident. The grant is intended to offer limited short-term financial assistance towards urgent recovery costs and essential measures needed to help businesses continue operating, relocate temporarily, or begin the recovery process.
As funding is limited, grants are expected to provide a modest contribution towards immediate recovery costs and should not be regarded as a replacement for insurance or other sources of financial assistance. While we recognise that some businesses may have experienced substantial losses, the purpose of the scheme is to provide practical, immediate support while businesses pursue insurance claims and explore longer-term recovery options.
