Christmas Lino Print Card Workshop
Join local artist Jennifer Flint for a festive workshop in linocut printmaking, creating your own handmade Christmas Cards. Ideal for beginners or those with some experience, this creative session will introduce you to all the essentials of designing, carving and printing using simple techniques. You'll explore how to create bold graphic designs perfect for seasonal greetings.
As part of the workshop, participants will also enjoy a special viewing of cards from the museum's collection, offering inspiration from historic and beautifully crafted designs.
You'll learn how to:
- Plan and transfer your design
- Cut your lino block safely and effectively
- Ink and print your card designs
By the end you will have a unique set of printed cards and the confidence to continue creating at home.
All materials are provided, just bring your imagination. Suitable for ages 16 years and over. Museum admission is included with your ticket.
About the Artist
Jennifer is a Chelmsford-based community artist and experienced workshop leader who works under the name Original Creative Work. She studied Illustration at the Universities of Lincoln and Westminster, and her practice centres on limited edition prints and bespoke commissions, including murals. Deeply inspired by her local community, Jennifer regularly collaborates on creative projects with organisations such as the local gallery Artists at the Meadows and Ignite, Chelmsford’s cultural partnership.
