Chelmsford Museum's Hocus Pocus
Back for October half term this year, dust down your costumes, grab your broomstick and head over to Chelmsford Museum for ‘Hocus Pocus’!
Explore the myths about witches, separate fact from fiction and discover if there were really witches in Chelmsford in the return of this popular exhibition. Including real artefacts from the museum’s collection plus a few surprises, explore how witches became associated with Halloween and how so-called witches were identified, as well as the origins of Halloween itself.
Chelmsford Museum’s Hocus Pocus will open from Saturday 22 October to Sunday 30 October, giving you plenty of time over the half term to visit the museum. The exhibition will be open all day in the Wells Suite on the first floor (opposite the bees!) from 10am to 5pm.
