Memberships
By purchasing a membership at the Museum of Chelmsford, visitors can enjoy a variety of member benefits either as individuals or a pair. This includes free admission to the museum, event discounts, invitations to member only events, and discounts in the gift shop and The Hive cafe.
Memberships are easy to purchase and have the option to automatically renew each year.
Individual Member Benefits
Individual members aged 18 years and over receive the following benefits for £20 a year:
- Free entry to Museum
- Access to a member welcome tour
- Access to one store tour a year
- Invitation to exhibition member only events
- 10% discount on all events and activities
- 10% discount on up to 4 children booked into children’s workshops and clubs
- 10% discount in the Museum gift shop
- 10% discount in The Hive café (for the cardholder only)
- Ad hoc member discounts throughout the year
- Member exclusive quarterly email newsletter
Joint Member Benefits
Joint members aged 18 years and over receive the following benefits for £30 a year:
- All Individual member benefits for the named card holder plus an additional adult who does not have to be named.
Once you purchase your membership, you will be able access your event discount online for the whole year.
To book a member only event, take a look at what we have coming up and following the booking instructions in each event.
When you make your first visit as a member to the museum from Wednesday 2 April, you will be able to pick up your membership card. Present this to our friendly front of house team each time you visit or make a booking with them in order to visit the museum for free or book an event on the day.
