Outhouse East - a registered charity seeking to offer support and information to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people of Essex. Gendered Intelligence - runs youth groups in London, Leeds and Bristol for trans, non-binary and questioning young people. It also runs a peer-led support group in London for people aged 18 to 30. 

Mermaids Charity - The charity Mermaids work to raise awareness about gender nonconformity in children and young people. They provide lots of useful information on their website for young people, and their families, around gender. 

The Albert Kennedy Trust - provides support for LGBT+ young people who are homeless or living in a hostile home environment. 

Pink Therapy - an online directory of therapists who work with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer or questioning (LGBTIQ), and people who are gender- and sexual-diverse (GSD). 

Mind LGBTQ - UK mental health charity Mind has a specific section for LGBTQ people, where you can access information about mental health support. 

Outdoor Lads - runs a range of sociable outdoor activities for gay, bi men and trans guys right across the UK and further afield – activity-based things like hiking, climbing, camping, biking, canoeing, scrambling, running and sailing, as well as purely social events.  

Stonewall - provides a range of resources to support people identifying as LGBT+, advice for parents, and works with businesses and institutions to create inclusive workplaces and working with schools to promote inclusion. 

Just Like Us - an LGBT+ charity aiming to empower young people to be role models championing LGBT+ equality at school and work. 

METRO Charity - promoting health and wellbeing through our transformative services to anyone experiencing issues relating to sexuality, gender, equality, diversity and identity. 

Essex Pride offers emotional and practical support for LGBTQ+ people via their support page.
