Data protection

We collect information about you in the normal course of providing of our services.

We manage all of the information we hold about you in line with the Data Protection Act and our Privacy Policy.

The Information Commissioner reviews our data processes each year. We notify the Information Commissioner about:

  • what personal information we hold

  • what we use it for

  • who we get it from    

  • who we give it to

  

Ask us to correct your data

You can ask us to correct your data if you think the information we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date.

To ask us to correct your data, you will need:

  • your name, address and contact details
  • the reasons why you think the data is incorrect
  • to include the correct information

Once we receive your request, we will:

  • acknowledge your request within three working days

  • review the change to confirm that we need to make it

  • make the change, if necessary

  • advise you that we have made the change

You can ask us to provide you with the data we hold about you.

To request your data, you will need:

  • your name, address and contact details
  • to include a description of the data you are requesting
  • to confirm your identity
  • to pay the £10 fee

Once we receive your request, we will:

  • acknowledge your request within three working days

  • review the request to make sure we can release the data

  • provide you with your data

Some information is exempt from data requests. This includes information that:

  • refers to other people who have not consented to disclosure
  • could cause damage or distress if we released it
  • is related to crime prevention or legal proceedings, and could cause prejudice

If the information you requested is exempt, we will be unable to release it. However, we will still contact you to confirm the type of data we hold and why we hold it.
