Peter Pan, the high-flying family pantomime, shall be at the Civic Theatre for a relaxed performance on Thursday 2 January 2.00pm.
When Peter Pan and his fairy friend Tinker Bell fly into the bedroom of the Darling children one night, a treasure chest of magical adventures begin.
Fly with Peter, Wendy, John and Michael to Neverland and meet the brave Lost Boys, the fearsome Tiger Lily and friendly Smee as Peter Pan takes on his old enemy - the dashing but villainous Captain Hook and his band of dastardly pirates. Hook has more than one foe to contend with in the form of a hungry, tick-tocking crocodile who has already had a taste of Hook’s hand and is now after the rest of him!
In association with the Chelmsford Civic Theatre, One From The Heart brings another soaring production to Chelmsford, featuring magnificent scenery, dynamic dance routines, stunning costumes, an abundance of comedy, plenty of audience participation and heaps of fairy dust!
Please note this is a Relaxed Performance which has been carefully adjusted to reduce anxiety or stress for those who might otherwise find attending a performance a challenging experience.
For example, someone with autism, sensory and communication needs and/or a learning disability might be reluctant to attend public theatre performances. Relaxed performances make it possible for families to experience theatre together in a relaxed environment.
These performances offer a relaxed environment as adjustments are made to reduce anxiety or stress, such as changes to lighting and sound to eliminate surprise and soften their impact.
Staff and performers will have a relaxed attitude to noise from the audience and customers are free to move around the auditorium during the performance.
A visual story and notes, a document for parents and carers and another document with added visual aids will be available closer to the time.
