Fling Festival 2019 - Supporting local talent

Fling Festival returns to Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday 6 July 2019 with an unrivalled line-up of the best local talent Chelmsford has to offer.

Created purely for adults, Fling is like no other - a day where festivalgoers’ curiosity is encouraged and diversity in entertainment is celebrated with a bespoke mix of music, comedy, cabaret, adult crafting, dance workshops, sideshows, street food and much more.

With the increase of music venues closing and more festivals being run by national promoters, the opportunity for local artists to perform live is becoming more difficult.

Since day one, one of Fling’s priorities has been to support the local arts scene by providing a platform for artists to gain valuable festival experience, whilst reaching new audiences. This year, Fling features over 25 live music acts, and 35 DJs, all based within Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

On top of this, Fling also provides a space for other forms of local entertainers and groups to showcase their skills and offerings. From street artists, dance schools and poets, to yoga teachers, arts collectives and comedians, we are proud to bring all these forms of art and culture together for one day.

Music acts performing on the day include Winston & The Lads, Crème de Chevre, The Lemoncurd Kids, Hannah Paris, Ewan Whosarmy, Louise Parker, Roisin O’Hagan, The Kubricks, Machine Gun Men, Teresa of Calcutta, Spencer M Taylor and the Groovy Psycho, Guilt Coins, Vivacity, Stealing Signs, Local Life Discoteque, Rob Bishop, Dan Bounce, Fever, Rubber Soul, Darryl Butcher and Chris Church.

A full list of acts and attractions can be found on Fling’s official website www.flingfestival.com.

Tier 1 tickets have sold out. Tier 2 tickets are priced from £28.50 and are available at www.flingfestival.com
