Chelmsford Museum’s ‘Friday Fives’ recommences for the New Year on Friday 12 January, for a fun-filled hour of nursery rhyme stories and craft activity which explores some of the museum’s fascinating objects.
Each month toddlers aged between 18 months and four years old - and their parents/carers - can pop along to Chelmsford Museum at Oaklands Park, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford for the ‘Friday Fives’ events. In ‘Friday Fives’ little ones get the opportunity to sing, get crafty, listen to stories, and get their hands-on Chelmsford Museum’s historical objects.
The theme for 12 January is ‘The Grand Old Duke of York’, children will be singing, marching up and down the hill and will love the interaction with the classic nursery rhyme.
There will be other Winter ‘Friday Fives’ for 2018 - on 9 February (theme: Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush) and 16 March (theme: Higgedly, Piggledy, My Black Hen). Times are 10.15, 11.30 and 1.30pm. Places can be booked by contacting the museum on 01245 605700 and more information can be found on Friday Fives at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/museumevents
