Chelmsford City Council soon to appoint new Chief Executive

Following the death of Steve Packham last October, Chelmsford City Council is now able to recommend to Full Council that Nick Eveleigh is appointed as the new Chief Executive.

Leader of Chelmsford City Council, Councillor Roy Whitehead, said “I am pleased to announce that after meeting and interviewing a number of candidates yesterday, the Employment Committee was unanimous in its recommendation to Full Council on 21 February 2018 that Nick Eveleigh, Chelmsford City Council’s current Director of Finance, be appointed Chief Executive. In the meantime, the Directors will continue to assume collective responsibility for the management of the authority.”

Assuming the recommendation is approved by the Council, Nick Eveleigh will be appointed Chief Executive on 22 February 2018.
