Chelmsford City Council is rebranding and relaunching a community initiative that works to improve the quality of the environment in the Chelmsford area. The Neighbourhood Improvement and Community Engagement (NICE) programme is being relaunched as Love Your Chelmsford on Saturday 3 February. The programme will continue to encourage residents, community groups and organisations to get involved in improving the environment in and around Chelmsford.
The City Council’s Waste and Recycling Team will be at High Chelmer Shopping Centre in Chelmsford on Saturday 3 February to engage with residents about the programme. The team will also be holding a series of events that are active, outdoors and help clear up litter in the city. Residents are invited to join these events and to help the City Council make a difference.
The upcoming events, which residents are invited to, include the Love Your Chelmsford Litter Pick event on Wednesday 14 February from 10am until 11.30am. The team will meet volunteers at the West Park Pitch and Putt, Waterhouse Lane, Chelmsford. There will be free car parking and refreshments available for the volunteers. The group will be targeting Central Park, West Park and Admirals Park.
There will also be a Spring River Litter Clean Up event on Saturday 3 March from 9am to 1pm. Members of the public are invited to meet the team at Baddow Road Car Park, Baddow Road, Chelmsford, where free parking will be available.
