City Council director to leave authority

Chelmsford City Council has today announced that its Director of Community Services, Averil Price, will be leaving the authority at the end of the week to embark on fresh challenges elsewhere.

Averil has been a valued member of the Corporate Management Team at Chelmsford since September 2007 and the Council wishes to acknowledge her hard work, commitment and consistent high-level achievements during this period.

Leader of Chelmsford City Council, Councillor Roy Whitehead, said “Averil has worked hard for over 10 years for Chelmsford City Council and we thank her for the significant contribution she has made to the authority and the commitment she has given. Members and officers wish her every success in the future.”

Averil added “I would like to thank my colleagues at the Council, both staff and Councillors, for the opportunities over the last ten and half years to lead valued services, which have achieved a great deal for the residents of Chelmsford. I’m now looking forward to a new challenge and the opportunity to apply my skills, experience and track record of delivery in new areas of work.”
