Volunteer Talk: The City of Chelmsford
Join our volunteer gallery assistant Lara Bolshakova as she presents her talk about the city of Chelmsford.
Lara moved to the UK from Ukraine in September 2022 and since that time has been exploring Essex's history and culture, taking a keen interest in Chelmsford's story from Stone Age to the present. In this talk, she will focus on the significance of Chelmsford changing from a town to a city in 2012, as well as the difference between towns and cities and the history surrounding that.
The talk will take place in the Wells Suite on the first floor of the museum, and seating is available. It will be approximately 30 minutes long.
