Big Changes at Chelmsford Museum

As we start 2018, Chelmsford Museum is undergoing some major changes. Not only have we begun our Heritage Lottery Funded redevelopment of the Victorian House, but we have also welcomed many new faces to the museum team.

The redevelopment sees the closure of the Victorian House, and it's transformation to include a cafe and brand new interactive displays. The newer extension of the museum, which houses the Bright Sparks exhibition, Essex Regiment Museum and Essex Yeomanry exhibition is still open to the public. We will also have a whole host of events, activities and school learning sessions throughout the year.

The museum has also recently seen some new members of staff joining the team. Dave Finkle, the new Museums Business Manager joins us from Barleylands and will bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the role. We're looking forward to some exciting new events and activities coming to the museum soon!

We also welcome Kelly, April, Sammy, Alasdair, Robyn, Sarah and Grace who will all be working with the current team towards creating an immersive, engaging, and inclusive experience for our visitors.

Keep checking out the website for more exciting details as we get them.
