Heart and Sole walks

We hold regular and one off led circular walks throughout the Chelmsford area, through our Heart and Sole programme.

You can choose from a number of walks, each taking place on a different day during the week and catering for all levels of ability.

Heart and Sole is a Walking for Health accredited scheme. You can: 

To register to walk with Heart and Sole, you can:

  • create an account on Walking for Health, and register online

  • complete a paper form when you arrive at your first walk. If you want to complete a paper form, you will need to arrive ten minutes before the walk is due to start.

  • download and print a Walker Registration Form, take it to your first walk and hand to the walk leader

You can also volunteer to become a walk leader.


The benefits of walking

To stay healthy, doctors recommend regular exercise and activity.

You can benefit greatly from regular 30 minute walks, if you walk at a fast pace but are still comfortable to hold a conversation.

From reducing blood pressure and cholesterol, to improving stamina, muscle strength and the immune system, we welcome everyone on our Heart and Sole Walks.
