What to expect when you visit

To keep staff and customers safe, there are some changes to how we operate:

Booking

• You must  book a gym session in advance on the website or via our app.
• If you have not booked in advance, you will not be able to use the centre.
• Booking limits apply ( terms and conditions).
  

Sessions in the gym

• Sessions will be for one hour only.
• You will be able to use a station for 15 minutes only.
• We will restrict the number of people allowed in the gym at any time.
• We will mark some pieces of equipment as out of use to ensure social distancing.
• You cannot move equipment such as benches around the gym.
• You will not be able to use the water stations, please bring enough water for your workout.
  
• You will follow a one-way system around the gym.
• Please listen to guidance and instructions from the gym team while you use the gym.
  
• You will only be allowed entry up to 30 minutes after your session start time. After this you will not be able to join the session.
  
• Social distancing should be observed at all times.
  

Face coverings

• You will need to wear a face covering inside our leisure centres whenever you aren't exercising, unless you have an exemption.  Find out more about face coverings.
• We recommend that you do not wear a face covering during exercise. Please leave it with your possessions during your activity.

Showers and changing rooms

• You will not be able to use the changing rooms. Please come ready for your session.
• There will be no lockers available. There are cages in the gym which can be used, but these are not lockable. 
• An accessible toilet on the ground floor will be available.

Cleaning

• We will be cleaning in between sessions.
• We will provide hand sanitiser and there will be cleaning stations around the gym for you to use before and after you use equipment.

When you arrive and leave

• Before you arrive, you can download the NHS COVID-19 app. You can open the app and scan the QR code displayed at the entrance to the centre on arrival.
  
• We will not open the doors until five minutes before your session begins. If you arrive early for your session, please remain in your car. 
  

• You will use the normal entrance to get to the gym.
• To exit, follow the one-way system up the stairs, along the mezzanine floor onto the squash court viewing balcony, down the second set of steps and exit via the squash court fire exit. 
• You must leave the centre promptly once your session has finished.
  

Monthly Members

• You will need to book a session in advance.
• You will need to check in for your session at reception.
• If you do not check-in, we will charge you the full amount for the session.
• Please make sure that you have registered your email address with us in order to book online.
