In line with tier 4 restrictions, our leisure centres will be closed from midnight 19 December, until further notice.

Join us at Mini Movers and help your child's growth and development through their early years.

At these weekly activity sessions, parents and children will have fun together. Through a variety of activities and games, children will develop key physical, cognitive and social skills, essential as they continue their journey into school.

All sessions take place under the watchful eye of our fully-qualified, DBS-checked instructor, who will gently guide you and your child through the sessions.

Times

Session times are split by age group:

9.30am to 10.15am: 2 years to 3 and a half years
10.30am to 11.15am: 3 and a half years to school joining age.

Price

ourChelmsford Lite cardholder: £6 per session
ourChelmsford Plus cardholder: £5 per session

Essential information

This course is held indoors in our sports hall, with a maximum of 12 parents and 12children.
Please ensure you read our Covid-19 safety guidance and pre-course information before booking and attending the course.

Before you arrive

All courses must be booked and paid for in advance using your child's ourChelmsford card.
If your child does not have an ourChelmsford card, you will need to apply for one before you can book a session.
If you have not booked and paid for a session online, you will not be able to attend.
All adults and children aged over the age of 11 years must wear a face covering when moving around the centre, unless you have an exemption.

Face coverings

You will need to wear a face covering inside our leisure centres to drop off and pick up your child, unless you have an exemption. Find out more about face coverings.
Children aged 11 and 12 will need to wear a face covering to enter and exit the centre, but not while they are participating in their course.
Children aged under 11 years do not have to wear a face covering.

Arrival

Before you arrive, download the NHS COVID-19 app. You can open the app and scan the QR code displayed at the entrance to the centre on arrival.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your child's course is due to start.
There will be a designated drop off zone; this is at the gate to the running track, to the right hand side of the main entrance.
Please make your way to the drop off zone when you first arrive at any of our courses, where you'll need to register your child and sign them in.
Our course team will ask you to provide a password and emergency contact number. They'll also ask whether your child has any medical conditions, allergies or are taking medication.
We will then issue you with a wristband which you will need to put on your child.

During the course

Please ensure children wear suitable clothing and shoes.
Please ensure your child has a water bottle and enough water with them for the duration of their course, as our water fountains are not in use.
