Our Heart and Sole walks are suspended under Tier 4.
Our walk leaders will guide you along some of the prettiest parts of the river bank and through Springfield Hall Park on this off-road, medium intensity walk.
There are some inclines and this route is especially suitable for fast walkers, but it is wheelchair and buggy friendly, and all are welcome.
Toilets may not be available at the ARU campus.
Please note that, for each walk, a specific route has been agreed and risk assessed to provide the safest walking environment possible. This cannot be changed.
If you have already registered for our walks, please just arrive in time for the start.
If you haven't registered, there are three ways you can do this:
This walk meets outside the Lord Ashcroft Building Entrance, Bishop Hall Lane, CM1 1SQ. More information is available on the map below.
ARU is a stop on both the Sandon and Chelmer Valley Park and Ride bus routes. Other stops are at the train station, the bus station and in the town centre. Please follow Government guidance on use of public transport during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Cycle routes run through West Park from the city centre.
Follow the A138 and then the B1008 to Hall Lane to find ARU. Parking is available at the Spar opposite the Lord Ashcroft building, with accessible spaces available outside the Lord Ashcroft Building.
