This summer we are celebrating Chelmsford's past with a series of history-themed workshops to complement our City Centred local history exhibition. Each week there are workshops with a different time theme, each with a costumed character to meet as well objects from our collection to handle and an art/craft activity. Something for all the family!

The Great War

A war like no other is affecting every person in the country, and the local Police Constable is here to talk about the dangers he faces on his duties.  As we commemorate 100 years since the start of World War I, come and find out more about the effects it had on every man, woman and child in the country.
