We are proud to announce that the 2014 Chelmsford City Showcase for Business has been a great success. Thanks go to all of our exhibitors, presenters and guests.
This event was part of Global Entrepreneur Week and we would be grateful if you would take time to complete a short survey at: http://uk.gew.co/content/survey.
Participants will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a Google Nexus Tablet worth £150.
The Chelmsford City Showcase for Business is now a major feature in the Chelmsford business world’s diary. It is normally held annually in November during Global Entrepreneurship week (GEW). Global Entrepreneurship Week is a large international campaign to promote entrepreneurship and is a vital part of making the UK more entrepreneurial, encouraging more people to start up businesses. In 2012, 2013, and 2014 the Showcase was recognised as a High Impact GEW UK event.
The Showcase is hosted and organised by Chelmsford City Council’s Inward Investment, Economy & Growth team in partnership with the Chelmsford Business Forum. It is designed to demonstrate the extent of business support and the range of commercial opportunities available. All parts of the event are free of charge.
The day provides valuable business advice and guidance including free seminars and exhibitors who offer a range of support and ideas. Throughout the day there are opportunities to network with fellow business people.
The 2014 Showcase attracted over 450 visitors, included a series of nine seminars, and 56 trade stands. Footage of past events can be found by following the links on the right hand side, including an interview with the event organiser and footage of the official opening.
The 2015 event is due to be staged on 18th November - details will be online from September.
The event is now held at Hylands House & Grand Pavilion (directions available from the link on the right). This venue enables the exhibition to be held in one room and has plenty of parking available.
The 2014 theme was “Get Connected”, and we had another great line up of speakers and exhibitors.
The Mayor of Chelmsford Cllr Bob Villa officially opened the exhibition and the rest of the day's programme at 9.30am.
There were 56 trade stands and a series of nine seminars running throughout the day until 4.30pm. There was a Happy Hour at 3.30-4.30pm when everyone joined the organisers for some refreshments, business card draws, exclusive deals and saw Event Sound & Light Ltd win the Best in Showcase!
The 2014 seminars covered the following:
- Why would they care and why would they share? - Tiff Jones
- Connecting Old World Marketing With The New - John Sealey
- Get Connected - Increase Sales - Mandie Holgate
- Marketing - the mainline connection to sales and success - Jeff Della Mura
